JavaScript was invented by Netscape*, JavaScript
gives the web browser some extra capabilities. Common uses for JavaScript
are "mouseovers", which are used to make images change
when your mouse moves over them; and pop-up windows, which are used
to make a smaller window appear on your screen in front of your
main browsing window. You will find here many other free scripts
to copy and paste.
*This is not a good enough reason
to use their terrible web browser!

after a few seconds. You can customize it to make it pops up several
times and define the number of seconds to be displayed.
Demo: You saw it arriving on this page. The splash window auto-close after 7 seconds.
To see it again Refresh the page.

Automatically Resize Pictures :
Some people will be viewing your page in a smaller browser window - but this usually means that your pictures will spill over the sides of the page, and users will have to scroll left to right or up and down to see the whole image. This script fixes that.
